The North American Gamebird Association (NAGA) is a non-profit professional organization established in 1931. For more than 76 years, NAGA members have led the way in improving methods of gamebird production and hunting preserve management.
The benefits from joining NAGA are many and include:
* A Strong Voice In Government - NAGA has defended and won many battles, protecting
gamebird producers and hunting preserves from many restrictive rules and regulations.
NAGA has repeatedly demonstrated what it can do legislatively and in fact-finding conferences.
It has fought and won many important issues, protecting you and your business.
* North American Gamebird Foundation - The non-profit North American Gamebird Foundation
(NAGF) has been established to undertake research and educational projects for the purpose:
To conserve, improve, perpetuate and promote the great outdoors, our natural resources, and
outdoor recreational experiences through informing and educating the public. Contributions are
tax deductible to the donor.
* Insurance Protection - With minimum premium starting at $550, NAGA members have the opportunity
to purchase liability, property, auto, workers' compensation and excess liability from CIG Insurance
exclusively designed to protect NAGA member game bird production, hunting preserves, outfitters and
guides, hunting and fishing lodges as well as sporting clay range operations. Please go to
www.nagains.com for more information.
* Association Communication - There are currently over 1200 NAGA members located in the US, Canada,
Mexico, and Great Britain with whom to interact. A membership in the North American Gamebird
Association also includes the annual NAGA directory of all members throughout the U.S. and Canada
which is very useful for making contacts within the industry.
* Annual Convention & Short Course - The annual NAGA convention, with its companion seminars and
workshops, affords attendees the opportunity to learn from recognized experts in every field of the
industry. It provides a venue for making contacts and meeting other hunting service operators and
game bird producers allowing for information exchange on common problems and issues. Our
convention also features booths where exhibitors, equipment and product suppliers, present
previews of the newest products and often offer “special discount convention pricing” on their merchandise.
* The NAGA / John Mullin Scholarship Award - NAGA awards five (5) $1000 dollar scholarships each
year. The applicant or their mother or father must be a current member of the North American
Gamebird Association.
