TexasHuntFish Honey Hole
Category: Other

The TexasHuntFish.com has acquired this honey hole, along with about 60 acres next to Perdernales State Park, with the intention of creating a place where we can camp, hike, shoot skeet, fish and maybe even hunt. So far, we have seen some big catfish, a lot of little bass, a lot of turkey, and a handful of deer - none of which are shooters.

Just give me the directions. It appears that this is a river running through it so there should be some new influx of fish as they move up and down stream. Too small for much hunting but looks great for camping, fishing, swimming, or just getting away! I'm almost done packing now.

I fished Pedernales State park just a few months ago.  The bass seem to really like a white rooster tail.  Let me know if you get over populated with fish and I will come help you 1 :)

I agree it is too small to hunt, unless we become overrun with hogs & coyotes. However, I am talking to the neighbor landowners about running a predator & nuisance species hunt and a doe hunt. If we are responsible about it, that would give us 400 acres on one side and 900 on the other side.

Meanwhile, I am working to repair the fencing and create an access point for children down to the water. The current water access is a pretty steep, slippery gravel hillside that you have to be comfortable sliding down and crawling up.

But - the water is so beautiful and the fish are hungry.

Can we hold an annual meeting there on a good cool weekend so we can meet and greet each other?
