Meet the Team of Texas Wildlife Unlimited, LLC

The Texas Hunting and Fishing Network, owned by Texas Wildlife Unlimited, was established in 1998. Today, we operate the premier online community dedicated to educating the young, engaging the new, and challenging the experienced sportsmen and woman of Texas.

Our Flagship website is http://www.texashuntfish.com/.  It has been ranked in the Top 100,000 websites in the world by Alexa, Google, Compete and Quantcast. In the Hunting Cateogry, we are ranked in the Top 10 websites in the world, even though we are the only website that is not national in scope - remember we are ONLY ABOUT TEXAS.

The business plan of Texas Wildlife Unlimited is simple: earn $1.00 per year more than we spend. We realize this is not a lofty goal, but we have been very fortunate in past business endeavors and as a result, we do not have the pressure of trying to make our living from this business.

The staff of Texas Wildlife Unlimited are intelligent, passionate, men and women who enjoy our ability to help various texas-based non-profits that cater to the hunting and fishing industry; not charge our users any type of membership or association fee; provide a powerful advertising vehicle for texas-based small businesses in the outdoor industry to market their products and services at no charge; speak out on issues related to Texas Parks & Wildlife, Legislation, and other matters without the need to seek political approval from a board of directors, and spend our money to further the education and understanding of the hunting and fishing community to any open minded individuals who will listen.

From any one of the 50+ websites we manage, to the "Hunting and Fishing in Texas" Radio Show on Talk 1370am, to our staff that is always in the field talking to land owners, guides, hunters and anglers, feel free to share your knowledge with our community - or ask a question of your own.

We hope this website will assist you in finding your dream deer lease, the greatest guides, a sweet honey hole, the perfect gear that'll give you an edge, or anything else that will enhance your hunting and fishing adventures in Texas.

Thank You,
The Team.

HUNT HARD. FISH SMART. EXPLORE TEXAS.

Jason Parrish

Jason Parrish

As a young man, Jason Parrish spent his summers on his family’s 6th generation East Texas land bordering the Davy Crockett National Forest. His primary forms of entertainment included hunting, fishing and target shooting. His family did not deer hunt for sport, so Jason spent most of his time fishing or hunting varmints and predators.

Over the last several years, Jason’s hunting exploits have become a full time occupation. He hunts several times a month, mainly varmints and predators, but continues to hunt various native and exotic species in search of mature trophy animals. He also spends a lot of time hunting and trapping for management and culling purposes to help biologists and ranchers maintain a balanced ecosystem on their property. He is in the process of developing his archery skill solely for entertainment purposes.

Allen Shannon
Allen Shannon

Raised in Texas, Allen has spent much of his time walking the fields and wading the waters of this great state. Almost five years ago he decided to start a web site that would express this passion he has for Texas great outdoors. He created this site which lives at Texashuntfish.com and it has grown every day since.

From goose and duck hunting in the panhandle to fishing the beautiful saltwater of the coast - there is nothing he enjoys more than hunting and fishing in Texas. Most of the time he wishes he could jump back in time to an era which allowed him to provide for his family the way God intended - straight from nature by hunting, fishing, and farming.

Allen lives in Southwest Austin with his wife, Amy, daughter Mary Margaret, son Hunter, and lab, Buddy. He recently left eBay as Senior Software Engineer to work fulltime on his newest venture.

Chris Weidner
Chris Weidner

Born in Webster, Texas and raised on the “gritty streets" of Houston, Texas, Chris studied filmmaking and screenwriting under the veteran eye of filmmaker Andy Anderson at the University of Texas at Arlington. Chris has worked in a variety of roles on a number of films, including his writing/directing debut and festival favorite short film, Newlybleds, before writing and producing his first feature film, My Comfortable Stranger, which was distributed on DVD by Starling Films for Outlaw 8 Productions.

While spending his childhood summers away from the city on his family’s ranch in Palo Pinto County, Chris developed a respect and love for the land and its creatures that has grown tenfold since becoming full time Videographer and Video Editor for TexasHuntFish.Com.  A recreational fisherman and amateur hunter, Chris hopes to bring a fresh eye and outlook to the Texas sportsman community as his knowledge and experience of hunting and fishing in Texas grows each and every day.

John Schwarzlose
John Schwarzlose

As a wildlife and fisheries biologist, John has assisted land owners manage their properties across Texas, and is experienced in dealing with the wildlife management issues confronting our state. Originally from Beaumont, TX, John has had the opportunity to learn the skills of hunting and fishing from some of the state's most talented outdoorsmen including Texas hunting legends Horace Gore and Al Brothers, several experienced wildlife biologists, as well as other exceptional sportsman including his grandfather Gene Schwarzlose, a man known for his time spent on the Sabine Lake salt water fishery. He enjoys all the hunting and fishing opportunities offered by the great state of Texas, but has extensive experience bay fishing, duck hunting, predator hunting, and of course hunting white-tailed deer.

“The lessons learned through the experiences we have in the great outdoors reinforce the qualities that are among the most important in everyday life…Patience, Dedication, and Integrity.”

Diana Jamail

diana

Diana grew up in Houston, TX and was surrounded by the grocery and produce business.  Her family always worked really hard and didn't take much time for vacation or getting away from the job and the city.  Luckily, since she was 11 years old, she had the opportunity to spend every summer in Leakey, swimming in the Frio, climbing and repelling off cliffs, and mountain biking on trails in the Hill Country.

In the fall of 2006, Diana started getting much more involved in the hunting and fishing scene and has loved every minute of it.  She's thankful she was born and raised in Texas.  She has spent several weeks at a time in beautiful places like Hawaii, Argentina, Costa Rica, and Africa and they are definitely breathtaking.  However, she always comes home and is reminded of all the different landscapes and outdoor opportunities that Texas has to offer ... and it is good.
