The Exotic Wildlife Association held it's Annual Member Meeting at the Y.O. Ranch Resort and Conference Center in Kerrville, TX from March 27th to March 29th, 2008.

The annual member meeting is a 3 day event, but I was only able to go on Friday to see the staff and members of EWA. Take it from me, this is a fantastic group of people. They are very knowledgable and very passionate about exotics, as well as the management and well-being of these animals. 

I was so glad I could make it on Friday when all of the speakers gave their presentations. We heard from Gene Bode (Bode Feed), Bill Daugherty (Stay-Tuff Fence), Tooter Trees (Auctioneer), Larry Johnson (Permits for Endangered Species), Dr. Kenny Patin (Chemical Immobilization), Blair Soars (Pneu-Dart), Terry Caffey (Transporting Animals), and Mark Hedley (Training Blood Dogs).

I left just before dinner on Friday evening, which means I missed the dance and Fun Auction on Friday night. There was also a golf tournament on Thursday and the Grand Auction on Saturday. If anyone who attended this event wants to make comments or tell us any stories in the Journals, please feel free to do so. We would love to hear more about the weekend.
