Deer Surveys
Each year we conduct numerous helicopter deer surveys around the state for white-tailed deer and mule deer.  Survey packages include a detailed report with estimated deer densities, sex ratios, fawn production, relative age classes of bucks, and antler quality classification of bucks.  Reports also include recommended harvest strategies for helping to ensure that goals for herd performance are met.

Enterprise Plans
Our enterprise analysis or enterprise plans are well suited for fee based hunting programs where the landowner needs an expert independent analysis or review of their program.  We look at pricing, marketing, staffing, risk management, and other quality control issues.  Since WSI is one of the largest and most successful hunting enterprises in the United States, we bring a huge amount of experience to the table in this area.

Deer Breeder Inspection
The deer breeding industry has mushroomed in recent years and Texas now has well over 1,000 registered breeders.  For those individuals who wish to apply for a Deer Breeder’s Permit, a pen inspection and letter of endorsement is required from a non-TPWD wildlife biologist.
