Ranch owner, Dr. Greg L. Gist has left little to chance when it comes to having one of the most exciting deer herds in the state behind high fence. Minimal native influence was left in our wild pasture, and high end genetics were stocked in order to insure a world class foundation of our herd. Dr. Gist’s passion is giant typicals, and this is the direction we plan to influence our herd. We however have drop tines, kickers, wide frames, heavy mass and those great tall tines that the GKR is known for. We have purchased genetics (bucks and does) to put in our pastures out of famous names like Highroller, Maxbo, Bucky, Renegade, Pluto, Double drop, Clint, Double Shot, Double Trouble, as well as blood lines from Sullivan, Machen, Worden, Berry, Refuge, Kotzer, and Roll’n R.

Whatever you need for superior whitetail genetics, we offer open does, breeder bucks, and stockers out of our outstanding pairings of Texas and northern genetics. Our goal for you ranch is simple… High scoring GKR bucks with great frames, and tall sweeping tines for your pasture or your pens. One of our first breed bucks purchased was GK-Renegade from Sullivan Whitetails in Sunset Texas.  GK-Renegade who won first place at the 2007 TDA meeting in SanAntonio as the ‘Best Perfect Typical’ age 4 to 9 years.  GK-Renegade scores 232 3/8 inches as a 7 year old.

We have semen available for GK-Renegade, with a volume discount at 10 straws.  We think this is a great value for this famous Texas Typical.  Renegade has produced some great sons as well.
