Texas Association of Bass Clubs (TABC)
Texas Association of Bass Clubs (TABC) is a statewide organization formed by individual members of the Bass Clubs and affiliate members in Texas. Their mission is preservation, conservation, and enhancement, with a focus on youth involvement for the future of fishing in Texas They exist to promote better fishing waters through restocking programs, sensible aquatic vegetation control, habitat enhancement, and improved water quality. They encourage sportsmanship among anglers, boating and water safety, and creating greater public interest in the art and skill of bass fishing and involvement of our youth. The main goal of TABC is to promote better fishing waters through restocking programs, sensible aquatic vegetation control, and proper management. TABC provides communications between anglers, legislators, media, Texas Parks and Wildlife, and other state and national organizations. Texas Association of Bass Clubs was officially organized on April 22, 1971 as a non-profit organization as a 501(c)3. The management of TABC is comprised of eight at-large directors elected by the board of directors and eight regional directors elected by the membership, the president and vice-president are elected by the board members. Other board members are secretary, treasurer, sergeant at arms and San Antonio Metropolitan League of Bass Clubs representative. As an organization, TABC has worked for Texas anglers for over 35 years. Much of this work has been done "behind the scenes," with the results becoming apparent at a later date. TABC's Board of Directors continually monitors events and proposed ideas that are of concern to the bass anglers of Texas.
