Houston Safari Club (HSC)
Houston Safari Club, established in 1972, is a non-profit volunteer organization that raises money for preserving the sport of hunting, supporting wildlife conservation, and educating the public on hunting and conservation issues. Today, HSC has grown into a large and influential group of hunters and outdoor enthusiasts, enjoying fun and fellowship, and has spent over 1.7 million dollars toward protecting hunters' rights and furthering the agenda of outdoor enthusiasts in Texas and throughout the country. The Houston Safari Club and its membership work worldwide to further the cause of outdoor enthusiasts and support healthy game populations in Texas, around the US, and in all corners of the world. By spending tens of thousands per year on grants and scholarships, the Houston Safari Club works tirelessly to defend hunter's rights in Texas and around the nation. HSC is a steadfast and strong supporter of youth hunting education, and each year also holds weekend events for disadvantaged and disabled children. These special and memorable events provide an opportunity to experience the outdoors and learn hunting and gun safety in a safe, fun, and supportive environment.
