The mission of the Dallas Safari Club is to conserve wildlife and wilderness lands. It is to educate youth and the general public, and to promote and protect the rights and interests of hunters worldwide. As part of that mission.

Since 1972, Dallas Safari Club has been the gathering point for hunters, conservationists and wildlife enthusiasts. As an international organization, they offer members a world of options: annual conventions and expositions, annual sporting clay events, monthly meetings and other member activities, world class publications and a grant in aid program that contributes hundreds of thousands of dollars each year to programs promoting the DSC mission.

Dallas Ecological Foundation (DEF) was chartered in 1981 as a 501(c)3 tax exempt corporation to utilize tax benefits to donors of goods and services to DEF. DEF's objective is to complement and further the efforts of Dallas Safari Club's objectives, goals, and projects.

Through its 3 youth initiatives, which include the Outdoor Adventures program in Texas public schools, the Shooting Archery Field Excellency Trials for Youth, and youth outreach programs that send children on outdoor adventures north to Alaska and east to Africa, DSC and Dallas Ecological Foundation have turned Texas youth into budding sportsmen and conservationists by the thousands. More than 33 middle and high schools offer DSC’s Outdoor Adventures program, which offers a popular, hands-on learning experience from hunter and boat safety to first aid, backpacking, and camp cooking.
