Recreational Fishing Alliance is a national grass roots, political action organization comprised of one million saltwater anglers. Their mission is to safeguard the rights of those salt water anglers, protect jobs in the marine boat and tackle industries, and ensure the long-term sustainability of our nations saltwater fisheries.

Now, with over 75,000 members, through their membership and club affiliate program, the RFA can meet the industrial fishing fleets, the politicians, and the bureaucrats head-on.

Our nation's marine fishery resources are over-exploited and nearly collapsed. The primary cause of this decimation is government-sanctioned "search and destroy" fishing by the industrial fishing fleet. The RFA views this mismanagement of marine resources as a political problem, requiring a political solution. There is a tremendous need for national effort to coordinate political action by concerned anglers, fishing clubs, conservationists, and business people to stop the devastation of U.S. fishing stocks.

To resolve this political problem, the RFA is successfully organizing America's saltwater anglers, conservationists, fishing clubs, marine manufacturers and retailers into a national grass roots lobbying organization. The RFA's goal is to "level the playing field" in both houses of Congress, the federal bureaucracy, and in coastal state capitols.
