On Friday, two friends and I went on my first deep sea fishing trip aboard the New Bucaneer that runs out of Galveston. The snapper weren't hitting that well, but we ran into a great group of King Mackeral that were loving the Sardines. As soon as you casted into the water you were guaraunteed a king would hit it immediately. Between the three of us we landed 12 snapper (mostly lanes) and 4 king mackerals (we ran out of sardines). All in all it was a successful trip. Others aboard the boat caught a good number of sharks.
