DOG Called and talked with Fred a couple of days ago. He's seeing lots of doves down there right now. I plan on calling him on Wednesday again to see how its going. Hope to be there Sat to start the season right!!!!!

Jim, how far is Dilley from DFW? Is the ground you hunt on a seasonal lease or can someone do a day lease? I sure would like to get on some better ground than I have the past couple of seasons.

Jim, hate to hear you had to work. Three friends and I limited on some public ground close to Waco. Hunting was good all opening day, but birds were gun shy by Friday and the restof the weekend. We we went on a day lease north of Austin and got "0". I'm on-call this weekend, so it will be a couple of weeks until I can get out, unless I can get out of work early one day.

Glad to hear you had a good opener. Several years ago, I had a really good dove hunt outside Waco - there can be lots of doves up there.
