Hello  I was wondering if any of you guys hunt around the fort worth area on public land.  What are some good areas to hunt ducks on public land?  Which lake?  I looked on the TXPWD and saw the public grounds.  Which ones are awesome to hunt ducks near Ft. Worth area?

You may want to give Aquilla WMA just outside of Hillsboro a look...it was loaded with ducks last year and there's plenty of lake acrage available so you won't feel crowded.

Try Lake Fork and Richland Chambers reservoir. Have heard really good things about both those places. Good hunting.

Lake Bridgeport is free and so is Tawakoni. Of course Bridgeport is pretty close to you there in the FORT.

Thanks I will have to check those places out this year.  Do they have blinds set up or do you need a boat to get to a spot?  Is it better to hunt off a boat?  Anywhere else?

I am a little late in on this thread. Administrator Allen mentioned Lake Bridgeport. Is duck hunting allowed on Lake Bridgeport? I drive over it headed to my hunting lease. What are the rules and who administers them?
