well, weve made 2 flights to tx to buy land and it hasnt worked out. 

 we got back a few days ago, and made almost a full price offer, then the guy took it off the market to annex the 500 acres to his 1000 acres with houses etc. to make the price for all of it out of our reach.  i just wish the guy would have told us he didnt want to sell it after we flew from alaska to look at it. 

anyway me and my buddy that use to live in east texas want to buy some land to bring our kids to hunt on when its -30 here.  up to about 600000 grand max.  weve been looking at land from 800 to 1200 an acre, usually with no dwelling, a well and elecricity.   if anybody out there knows a piece thats a good value  we would appreciate a tip.  the realestate agents are working hard but arent coming up  with a bunch.  thanks for any help in advance.   jeff

Try around Rocksprings. It's certainly no more remote than around Del Rio and they advertise land for $500-800 an acre. There should be 2 or 3 realtors listed in/around Rocksprings. Lots of deer and, depending on the area, many free ranging exotics.
