I would like to start a thread to get people's feedback regarding the best, most accurate, light weight, rifle and caliber for hunting hogs and predators. Because of low light conditions and because it is legal to use a silencer, your feedback on scopes and certain loads like 44 Mag are valid options.

I dont think you can go wrong, with either the 25-06,270 Winchester, or the 308.  As far as scopes go, I like the Nikon 4-12x Monarch, or the Zeiss 3.5 x 10 Conquest...

If I may add one more then I would put the 280 in this list and the 30-06.

For heavy brush give me a 30-30 with a 170 grain bullet and I'd be happy. For wide open spaces a .270, .308, or 30-06
