A video on NSSF's Keane Insights blog sets the record straight on traditional ammunition. Says NSSF Senior Vice President and General Counsel Lawrence G. Keane, "Some groups are claiming that consuming game harvested with traditional ammunition containing lead components poses an unreasonable risk to human health. The truth is that eating wild game poses no such risk. And that's not me saying it, that's the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention."

Those same groups got rid of lead sinkers, so they will probably get rid of lead bullets, also. Sometimes you wonder what people like that do to relax (if they can). It's nice to know the CDC disagrees with them, along with 99 1/2% of all sportsmen. Unfortunately, sportsmen are not real popular with the D.C. crowd.

If you get into the details of what these folks tried to do in Minnesota and Wisconsin, and how they got their high lead levels, it'd make you hotter than a firecracker.

Ever since California decided that leaded ammunition was not ggod for their condors leaded ammunition has come under closer scrutiny.  That's why most of your major bullet manufacturers are coming up with copper alloy bullets now. 

I'm not sure that that's the right strategy, but with our current judicial activism and getting outspent 20-30:1 by the 'antis' its hard to justify taking a stand against these kooks.
