USA -

Cabela's, the giant outdoor retailer, continues their nearly decade-long support of Whitetails Unlimited by sponsoring four different WTU programs in 2010.

"We are grateful, and a little humbled, by Cabela's continued support," said Kevin Devault, WTU's manager of conservation funding. "This long-standing relationship is a great asset for Whitetails Unlimited and our members, and we're proud that our innovative programs attract such strong support from the outdoor industry's most innovative retailer."

Cabela's is teaming up with WTU to be a Signature Sponsor of the 2010 Deer Camp Tour, the Membership Appreciation $100,000 Giveaway, and the WTU National Event Merchandise Booklet. In addition, they provide Cabela's gift cards for the annual drawing in WTU's My First Deer program, which celebrates an important rite of passage for any serious hunter - the harvesting of their first white-tailed deer. Cabela's has been generously participating in the My First Deer program since it's inception.

"Industry support is very important to the success of our original and creative programs," said Devault. "Even through the recent economic downturn our members have remained solid, continuing to support both local WTU chapters and national programs. We make a point to let our members know who is supporting us every chance we get."

Additional information about WTU programs is available on the WTU website, www.whitetailsunlimited.com. For information about becoming a program sponsor, contact Kevin Devault, WTU manager of conservation funding at (920) 743-6777, ext. 102, or e-mail kdevault@whitetailsunlimited.com.

Founded in 1982, Whitetails Unlimited is a national nonprofit conservation organization. Our mission is to raise funds in support of education, habitat enhancement and acquisition, and the preservation of the hunting tradition for the benefit of the white-tailed deer and other wildlife. When it comes to the whitetail and its environment, WTU's degree of professionalism and dedication has earned us the reputation of being the nation's premier whitetail organization.
