USA -

Whitetails Unlimited is once again financially supporting the Teaming With Wildlife Fly-in Day, scheduled for February 23-24, 2010.

Teaming with Wildlife is a coalition of nearly 6,000 organizations supporting increased public funding for wildlife conservation and related education and recreation. Whitetails Unlimited is a member, and has supported the Fly-in Day for the past several years. This is an opportunity for members to attend strategy sessions and visit with lawmakers in Washington, D.C.

Whitetails Unlimited supports the need for necessary funding to implement the various state wildlife action plans, the country's core program for preventing wildlife from becoming endangered in every state.

"During these tight economic times, the State Wildlife Grants Program is a prime example of how closely monitored federal dollars can be utilized to give taxpayers the biggest bang for their buck," said Whitetails Unlimited President Jeff Schinkten. "These programs always have strong bipartisan support, because they are solid programs."

It is necessary to let lawmakers hear the voices of the millions of concerned citizens that use the outdoors before they make their decisions on conservation and recreation policy. A coalition group like Teaming with Wildlife makes it easy for people in Washington to understand how many people are affected by their decisions.
