Texas -

Individuals or organizations that have made a lasting contribution to freshwater
fishing in Texas may be nominated through February 26 for induction into the
Texas Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame.

The rules are simple. Anyone may nominate an individual or organization that
they feel has created a lasting, beneficial impact on fishing in Texas.
Nominations may be made in the categories of industry, angler or media.

Nominees must be a Texas resident or organization based in Texas, and individual
nominees can be either living or deceased.

One nominee will be chosen each year by an independent selection committee
and formally inducted during the annual Hall of Fame banquet at the Texas
Freshwater Fisheries Center in Athens. Nominees will be evaluated based on the
following criteria:
• Ethics
• Leadership/Commitment
• Unselfish contributions to the sport
• Fishing/fisheries management expertise and impact

Nomination forms and information are available on the Texas Parks and Wildlife
Department web site, www.tpwd.state.tx.us/spdest/visitorcenters/tffc/visit/
virtualtour/halloffame/ or by calling (903) 670-2228.
