Here is a pick of the first banded bird I have ever taken. It was a Lesser Canada Goose taken in Frederick ,OK on Saturday. The band on the left is a $100 reward tag and the one on the Right was placed on the bird in Nunavut, Canada near the Arctic Circle in July 2003!

Very nice. Can you believe I haven't killed a banded bird since 1998? With all the ducks I take, you think one would have been banded. The hatching area where my birds are hatched must not be a hotbed for researchers.

That is so cool.  I took a couple of banded sprigs back in my duck-hunting days and remember the anticipation of waiting for the return card to arrive in the mail.
