Hunting with open sights can be a challenge.When I first started hunting in 1965,most people hunted with open sights or shotguns.The deer were purty safe beyond 100yds or so and I think they knew it.With the optics we have today,we can shoot hogs at night that far.So,congrats to you on your buck,GOOD SHOOTING!

Hey Jerry is that hi or low fence.  Im suppose to call up the lease master for an opening.  This place is bout 15 miles from San Man.  Down Chapa then up Brush line some where.  Is this near your place.  If so how is the Nilgai pop.  Thats what I'm interested in.

its low fence its alittle bit before chapa road but chapa road has some real nice deer that ive seen come out of there as for nilgai ive heard mixed some people say theres alot some people say theres not that much but from what i see where i go theres alot of nilgai towards the end of the ranch closest to where ur goin 

One of my coworkers owns two small ranchs on chapa.  They have seen few cows but dont go out much.  I'm praying to get to hunt out there just ot expericence seeing game again.  Been hunting in Falcon last two years and its real crappy hunting.  They shot 8 bucks with the biggest one having about a 10 inch inside speard.

I'd like to get a place up againt the East ranch though.  You got some really nice animals this year.  Looks like the taxidermist is going to be busy.
