Dates Set for 2010 Austin & San Antonio Boat Shows

Austin, San Antonio -

Two of the region's largest outdoor entertainment showcases are set for January 2010, bringing thousands of boating and travel enthusiasts to Austin and San Antonio.

The Austin Boat Show will return to the Austin Convention Center on January 14-17, featuring over 400 watercraft spanning 200,000 square feet. The line-up includes cruisers, sailboats, fishing boats, wakeboard boats, ski boats, runabouts and personal watercraft. Visitors will enjoy activities such as the Coastal Fishing Roundtable, Boater Safety and Education Courses, 'Nobody's Waterproof' Interactive Display and numerous activities for children such as the live catfish tank.

The San Antonio Boat & RV Show will take place January 28-31 at The Alamodome, offering a first-hand look at over 300 different watercraft and 100 recreational vehicles. For boating enthusiasts, this year's event will include cruisers, fishing boats, wakeboard boats, ski boats, runabouts and personal watercraft. The wide range of activities planned includes a Coastal Fishing Roundtable, Tackle Workshops, ARMY Bass Anglers Display, Boater Safety and Education Courses, 'Nobody's Waterproof' Interactive Display and numerous activities for children such as the live catfish tank.

Those interested in RVs will have the chance to tour motorhomes, fifth wheels, travel trailers and pop up trailers from the industry's top vendors, while meeting with area RV dealers. The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department will host a Texas State Parks exhibit, providing education on how best to enjoy the many parks across the state.
