Dallas -

ESPN Outdoors has confirmed upcoming daily coverage, blogs, photo galleries and features from the Dallas Safari Club convention, January 7-10, at the Dallas Convention Center.

Coverage will be featured at www.espnoutdoors.com.

The event, called First Light, is the nation's first major sporting expo of 2010, offering hunters their first opportunity to shop and book dates with top outfitters. More than 1,100 exhibits will showcase top outfitters and professional hunters from around the world. Gun makers, optics and gear companies, artists, jewelers, clothiers and more will spread over 300,000 square feet.

Daily seminars include topics such as whitetail deer hunting, perfect safari rifles, building a custom trophy room, wilderness survival, wild game cooking, travel tips for hunters, reloading for heavy game and more, all lead by respected authorities such as Larry Weishuhn, Craig Boddington, Chris Dorsey and others.

Daily admission is $15 per person. Multi-day discount packages are available.

In the evenings, convention registrants can enjoy gala banquets featuring celebrity speakers, awards, entertainment and auctions for world-class hunts, firearms and more.

It all serves as the primary fundraiser for the Dallas Safari Club mission to conserve wildlife and wilderness lands, educate youth and the general public, and promote and protect the rights and interests of hunters worldwide.
