Notice of Proposed Real Estate Transactions and Opportunity for Comment
Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission Meeting — January 27-28, 2010

Right-of-Way and Drainage Easement — Hays County
Stokes Island Park

Texas Parks and Wildlife seeks public input on the request for right-of-way (ROW) and drainage easement at Stokes Island Park, also known as Thompson’s Island, in Hays County. The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) has deemed the bridge at Thompson’s Island to be unsafe and slated to be rebuilt. TPWD has received a request from the City of San Marcos for a ROW and drainage easement to accommodate the rebuilding of the bridge and a ROW easement for the use of Cape Road.

Texas Parks and Wildlife invites all interested parties to attend a public input meeting on December 14, 2009 at 6:30 PM at the San Marcos Activity Center, 501 E Hopkins, in San Marcos, TX. The meeting will include a brief overview of the proposal, a question and answer period, and an opportunity for public input. The Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission will take action on the land sale on January 28, 2010. Public comment may be submitted to Corky Kuhlmann, Land Conservation, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, 4200 Smith School Road, Austin, Texas 78744, by email at corky.kuhlmann@tpwd.state.tx.us, or in person at the meeting.


Land Sale and Conservation Easement — San Saba County
Colorado Bend State Park

Texas Parks and Wildlife seeks public input on the proposed sale of land at Colorado Bend State Park in San Saba County. The land transaction will result in the sale of approximately 12.5 acres of land to an adjacent landowner and the acceptance of a conservation easement on approximately 144 acres of land at Colorado Bend State Park. Texas Parks and Wildlife invites all interested parties to attend a public input meeting on December 8, 2009 at 6:30 p.m. at the Bend Community Center, Bend Texas. The meeting will include a brief overview of the proposal, a question and answer period, and an opportunity for public input. The Texas Parks & Wildlife Commission will take action on the land sale on January 28, 2010.
