Nice deer...

we're hoping for a muley this next weekend...

I hunt between Antonio creek and Lozer canyon.  Droped a 21" 3/8 White tail and A 21" 1/4 Muley. Another guy had a 21" 1/2 Muley.

Wow! They sure were eating good. Did you have a hard time getting them out or did you have access with a vehicle or ATV?

What we did was spend a lot of time in the stands. We were listing to other hunters in the canyons on radios chasing deer. We just waited for them to push them toward us. We have two stands about a half a mile from Lozer canyon. Each one produced a Mule deer. If I knew who the guys were that chased them out I would thank them. They do it for me every year.

I think I am guilty of doing that twice this year resulting in kills in both instances.

I am looking at buying a small parcell of land in the area you describe.  It is off of Cedar Creek road, just west of Lozier Canyon and south of hwy 90.  The area appears to have vegetation and cover condicive to both WT and mule deer, hence my interest in buying it.  Your photos speak loudly to me.  Can you tell me if I am looking in the right area for both deer?  Any other information....please advise.
