Howdy!  The MDG application deadline was on Sept 3rd and the EXO was Oct 6th.  Those who are drawn are notified by letter and if you accept it, you must send back the lower portion of the letter with the permit fee.  All of the MDG hunts are in December 2009.  If you have not received notification, then you probably have not been selected for that hunt.  However, all of the EXO hunts are in January and February 2010.  It might still be possible to receive notification of selection for the EXO hunts.  It has been my experience that the TPWD are quick to notify those who have been selected.  Such as the Javelina hunts are in Jan, Feb, and March 2010 and I got notification toward the end of last month.  Good luck!  Be sure and enter next year, too!  Hope this helps!

Gene, I was selected for Davis Mountains Javelina..just wondering if you might have been before or had any tips

Howdy!  I have not bowhunted the Davis Mtns; however, I saw a few there a year ago last summer when we were on vacation there.  Maybe someone who has hunted there will give some info.  The success rate last year was 63%, which is pretty good, and was the highest success rate for the Javelina hunts.  Also, they have a bag limit of 2 instead of one.  Best of luck and hope you get at least one!  Always, Gene
