Shot this 9 point opening day chasing a doe in Crosby, Harris county .I was invited to hunt with Bobby (texasraut) deer lease and we have been baiting stands and hog hunting mostly in the summer

I ended up hunting this stand because i forgot my cellphone. My buddy didnt want me at the back end of the lease with no way to get in touch. At 5:30 doe walks within 5yards of my stand and i was getting ready to pull the trigger when i hear this guy come thrashing through the woods. He poked his neck and front leg just enough to give me a shot and it was all over in less than 30sec.I shot it thinking he was a 6 point we had on cam ended up being a 9point and rough scored 120.

Bobby knows his land and the deer and thank you for the opportunity to harvest such a wonderful animal.

Nice deer.......Good age and thick horns........Little early for the pre rut in that part of the panhandle isn!t it?  Deer are real healthy this year up north.........

just for everyone's info Crosby. TX is on the outter skirts of east Houston, TX.  Completely different region than the panhandle
