Just got this email today. Anyone know anything about it? Or if it is true?

Story:
This buck was killed just North of Muenster up on the Red River. This is that young mans first year on that lease and it is an MLD low fence ranch. It was a Texas Heart Shot with .338. I know most of the guys on that lease and got the details from one of them. Oh and he was driving back to camp and saw a buck chasing a doe so he got out of the vehicle for a better look and all of a sudden this buck came out of the brush headed straight away from him thats why the Texas Heart Shot. Scored 204 and change.
The buck was killed on Bartush's place north of Muenster. The Bartush's live in Muenster but lease their place for weekend hunts and I think the guy was from Ft Worth. They've had pictures of that deer from a game camera for several months.

If it is true that's got to be one of the biggest whitetails, in terms of mass, I've seen in Texas. He looks like he ought to be out of Missouri, Kansas, or Iowa...not Muenster.

But, that territory sure does look like Muenster though.

I'm the guy in the picture with the Muenster buck.  I'm nort from Lewisville (I currently live in NW Ft Worth) and I think I would have heard about it if anyone shot a 26pt doe off our lease.

The story attached to my picture above is basically true enough.  It wasn't a day hunt though.  also, the shot hit the deer in the right hip (he was running away and to my right at about 100yards), I found the slug in his left lung.

The game cam pictures were actually taken on a neighboring ranch about a month prior to the harvest.
