Just wanted to let everyone know about an upcoming fishing tournament in the Austin area in which proceeds will benefit the Boys and Girls Club of the Highland Lakes in Marble Falls, The Highland Lakes Legacy Fund in Marble Falls and Burnet, and Camp Phoenix in Marble Falls. 

The two-day tournament begins on Saturday, October 24, 7AM-4PM at River City Grille in Marble Falls. Participants will be fishing on Lake Marble Falls, Lake LBJ, Inks Lake, and Lake Buchanan. A ‘Kid’s Fish’ event will be held Saturday from 10AM to 1PM at Hamilton Creek in Burnet, followed by a live concert featuring singer-songwriter Radney Foster, Brandon Jenkins, and the Tommy Alverson Band from 6PM to 10PM at Lakeside Park in Marble Falls; tickets can be purchased online.

Registration is now open for anglers of all levels, including kids. A team of two anglers can take advantage of early entry prior to October 22 for just $150. Parents can enter their children for the Kids Fish on line at gonefishingforkids.com for a $5 donation.

Sunday, October 25 features the Fishing Championship Round from 7AM-2PM on Lake Marble Falls and Lake LBJ along with a brief awards presentation and a $2,500 1st Prize Guarantee.
