I have not used them - I saw these Knight & Hale® Pack Rack™ Rattling System Deer Call this weekend and thought they sounded realistic - I am concerned that any artificial sound is not as effective as real antlers. http://www.knightandhale.com/productdetail.aspx?id=KH1019.  Anyone have any thoughts?

I prefer mule deer antlers.  i got a set that score about 160 i bought off ebay for 20 dollars and those by far are the best i have ever heard.  There extremely loud and have a deep pitch.  On one instance i rattled my hutning partner across the section.  He couldnt believe how real and loud they sounded so far away.  I went from rattling 10 to 15 with my little 4*4 to bringing the whole deer heard in lol.  They work and i recommended it to anyone.  You gots to try it.

It sounds like his natural antlers were dry.  I always soak my antlers overnight in a bucket of water and they sound more realistic.

I've got an old set of whitetail antlers I've used for years and they do just fine.  The rancher on who's land I hunt has a REAL beaten-up pair that he just about swears by.  This 4 x 2 made sense in that it does sound like 2 sets of antlers banging together...even though like Rick I do have concerns about the resin horns not sounding right.

We say all this and folks were successful using rattlin' bags in STX for years.

Real antlers.... real sound. No brainer. Heavier the antler the more real the sound. And wear gloves and grip tight to make them sound like they are attached to something and not "twanging".... simple.... really simple

From personal experience and from reports from other hunters who are using them they work better. My first experiment rattling with four antlers was by wiring four natural antlers together . They worked better, but were cumbersome. I have worked four yrs.trying to perfect these 4n2s and believe in them. The video doesn't do them justice. Try a set , if you don't like them for any reason , send them back for a full refund.

This is a more independent assessment by Rick Philippi ,hunter writer for bowhunting.net Tom, Just wanted to thank you for my Big Buck Rattling Antlers. I took them to my ranch this past week. On the morning hunt an hour after daylight I rattled my antlers and in a matter of thirty seconds after I hung them up on a limb, here came a nice eight point like he was on a string. The buck came within 8 yards from the base of my tree. I passed on the shot. I have rattled a lot over the years and I feel the authenticity of these antlers will trick the weariest of old bucks. Thanks for an awesome product. Your product is number one in my book. Sincerely, Rick Philippi bowhunting.net PS more info at bigbuckrattlingantlers.com Photo of Rick:
