Best advice for deer---hunt from legal daylight to dusk especially during the rut.

I have run into the same problem, the lady who was selling the poli wheel is no longer in business. I have left messages with a third party that had a business connection to her that I was looking for this year's poli wheel but I have not been contacted back. As a matter of fact I even went to the Buckmasters expo earlier today and asked around but got alot of blank snares instead. One little ray of hope, I think I cracked the code table to continue using the wheel for this coming season. If you notice the wheel is calculated on time periods coinciding with the new moon and full moon. the moon transits time is the key I believe. if you still have last season's wheel you can still use it for this season. for example, 6/18 was a full moon I lined up the major feeding period on 18, I next went to http://aa.usno.navy.mil/data/ to find the moon transit time and moon phases for my area, the moon transit time for 6/18/2008 was 12:19 am cst I moved the gray portion of the inner wheel so that 12:19 am was lined up on 18 while I had the black triangle of the major feeding time also on 18. I then looked to see where the brown and green numbers lined up, which was very close to the 3 over 1 on the dial for that time period. I tried several other dates and found that this method gave me results very close to the poli wheel calculations. There may be 10 to 15 minutes give or take on the activity times but I think it close enough to plan my hunts, I guess I will find out this hunting season if I'm right. It is important that the moon transits times are used for your calculations.  this may even be more accurate due to using the times for  your area.
