Trinity Basin Conservation Foundation hires first Executive Director

The Trinity Basin Conservation Foundation (TBCF) has announced the hiring of Jody L. Carton as the organization's first Executive Director.

Ms. Carton comes to TBCF from the Appalachian Trail Conservancy (ATC) where she resided in New Hampshire and served as the New England Regional Director for ATC from 2007-2009. Prior professional experience for Ms. Carton includes working as a Program and Projects Director for Resource Development at Virginia Tech and as a Recreation Planner/Grant Writer for a community design center, both in Blacksburg, VA. Jody earned a Master of Arts Degree in Public and Nonprofit Management from Virginia Tech in 2005.

She is currently residing in Kaufman and is working in office space provided by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department at the Edwin L. Cox, Jr., Freshwater Fisheries Center in Athens. Ms. Carton can be reached at jcarton@trinitybasin.org
