Didn't mean to 'turn you off', but unlike you most folks who post on hunting and fishing websites are very concerned about what's going on right now in this administration...and to try to separate hunting and fishing from politics, since these rights are under attack, is not only foolish but impossible as hunting and some of our constitutional rights are inextricably linked. But then again, living in fairyland world is what this president would love us to do...just go away and he'll take care of all of it. Yeah, right.
And, if you'd pay attention, other posters on this site have expressed the same concerns. There are a number of freedom-loving citizens here who happen to see 'the forest for the trees' you might say. And they've seen it for some time now.
If you want to stick your head in the sand and pretend everything's rosy, you indeed have that right. But, if you think you have the right to infect this site with insults just because you don't agree with what's posted, you're dead wrong. THAT's what's pathetic here!

I own a computer network business, and i dont hear anything more from my customers about how Obama is going to take our guns, or put serial numbers on bullet casings, or tax us $50 per gun. If you want to debate point by point on these quotes, or any of Obama's quotes on this subject, line by line, I'd be happy to. Fact of the matter is no government has the right to dictate if and when its citizens can defend themselves. And, this guy is pure-d dangerous when it comes to his opinions of government and the governed. Hence one of my reasons for posting the video.
Next let's go with microstamping which you say is trash...its included as a provision of the CIFTA treaty (Spanish acronym for Inter-Amercian Treaty Against the Illicit Manufacturing and Trafficing in Firearms, Explosives, and other Related Items) which Obama supports. Ficticious? Read here.
And the next 'trash' item of higher gun taxes? While Obama hasn't proposed anything (yet) this is an example of what he did in Illinois, link here. There is every reason to be concerned about what he will do in this arena.

Now, let's address your statement about putting-up or shutting-up. Most of us don't go on this site to brag about the phone calls we've made, emails we've sent, petitions we've signed, or meetings we've attended when it concerns pending legislation, not to mention the candidates or organizations we've contributed to, or even helped campaign for. But, I can assure you that 95% of the people who frequent this site have done these very things, some several times over. That's what responsible citizens do. And you talk about fixing the problem? When it comes to the Second Amendment Obama's policies ARE the problem and most of us ARE trying to do something about it. And, part of doing something is telling and informing others - whether it be on this board, on the airwaves, or face to face, because we're sure not going to hear about it from the mainstream media...they have their own agenda, and their level of bias has been proven again and again (examples here).
If I were to take your comments literally are you saying then that anyone 'complaining' about taking away Constitutional rights is somehow tearing the country apart? What? We understand the Constitution and that its purpose is to RESTRICT the powers of the federal government. We understand the SA is not about hunting at all. Oh, and Mike? Facts are still facts regardless of what website they come from. I don't hear you disputing or refuting them...so far when confronted with errors in what you've said you've just changed the subject which originally, if I remember correctly, wasthe 2nd Amendment as well as Obama's view on government, which are directly related.
For the record, Obama's anti-gun stance while he was a US Senator has been well-documented. If you'd like I'm sure there are a number of sites I can reference - that one just had 'em all in one place. Thing is, you have to go to these 'LA hillbilly' sites, as you call them, because the CNNs, NBCs, and CBSs of the world don't report these type of things. So much for the media's take on 'fair and balanced reporting'.
And, if you're getting your information from just those sources no wonder you say the things you do.
BTW, if you vote as well as you analyze people you have another reason for concern. I don't watch FOX. I saw this video on Youtube then linked from the FOX website because I had some of the same concerns.
