It reminds me, a rapid change in water level is called a "flash flood"; a rapid change in wind speed is sometimes a "tornado"; not all change, and usually not rapid change, is good.

I feel there is too much drama about proposed laws - bad ideas that will most likely not become laws. Until they are laws it doesn't matter. And, once they are laws, then there will be legal challenges of their validity and many of them will be struck down by the courts.

The new laws that then remain will be worthy of our fight to have them changed. Until then, it seems a lot of wasted energy designed to numb the masses so that no one will have the energy to fight later.

Hunt Hard. Fish Smart. Explore Texas.

I think you're absolutely right...I've even seen a number of emails with false information about Sotomayor, Obama, Biden, and a bunch of those clowns that I think are designed to get us worked-up like you say in some sort of disinformation campaign.  One of those is here...not only vulgar but ridiculous.  Note the header that says "proud publishers of fake news since 2005".

At least they're honest about it I guess.  Either way, it pays to check stories out first.

The really worst part of this mess is that Obama, Plosi and their bunch of idiots are pushin for rediculous spending bills that not one member of the House And Senate have even tried to read and understand what they are voting for!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's like trying to shoot a trophy buck with both eyes closed and hoping you will make a great shot (if he is even in your part of the country.)

I'll use this as an analogy. I see many of the laws as just this type of mindset.

A friend of mine was about to be a new father of a baby boy. He had a name in mind that he wanted to use, but knew his wife would nix it right off the bat. So he started out for several days with completely off-the-wall names that were just horrible. He kept that up for a few days, and just about the time his wife was ready to either kill him or have him committed, he threw out the name he actually wanted. Well, after hearing all of the really bad ones for so long it sounded fine to her, and she agreed to it.

I think this has been the way they try to deal with the American people. Just like gas prices. We gripe about $2 a gallon then they beef it up to $5 a gallon for a few months. Then when they drop it down to $3 a gallon we stop griping. Hell, some people even talk about what a good job they did getting the gas prices lowered.

Guns don't kill people....Its those pesky little bullets making lots of holes that all the blood leaks out of.
