There are a lot of Axis in Kimble County...especially along the North and South Llano rivers.

there are alot of axis as David stated above.  the place I hunt is almost directly on the north llano river.  the free range axis heard in 07 was pretty good size, but this past season (08) the heard almost seemed to double.  should make for some good hunting this years season to come

I agree Troy...Axis is some of the best wild game iIve ever had.  Almost as good as elk.

there are two black buck doe (not sure what their exact names are) that are consistantly around our lease.  but no black bucks have ever been spotted
