2009 Texas State and Gulf Coast Regional Duck Calling Contests Headed for Buffalo

Katy, TX -

The Leon County Delta Waterfowl Chapter will host the 2009 Texas State and Gulf Coast Regional Champion Duck Calling Contests. The contests will be held on May 9, 2009, at 3622 County Road 305, Buffalo, Texas. The Texas State is open to Texas residents only and the Gulf Coast competition is welcoming callers from any surrounding states. The Texas State Sanctioned contest will kick off first with check-in at noon and the start of the Gulf Coast Regional is anticipated to start near 3:30 P.M. The winner of each the 2 contests will represent Texas and the Gulf Coast at the World's Championship Duck Calling Contest November 2009.

In addition to the calling contest, the Delta Waterfowl Guns, Cash & Crawfish Extravaganza is occurring on site as well. Tickets for that event are $40.00. Kids age 17 and under are free.
