COLUMBUS, GEORGIA -

John Skrabo, Director of Key Accounts for Realtree the last 10 years, will become CEO/President of Bad Boy Enterprises, manufacturer of the all-electric, 4x4 Bad Boy Buggie, commencing April 1.

Skrabo, 47, managed Realtree's key accounts business, including sales and marketing at big box stores, Walmart, Bass Pro, Cabela's, Academy, Dick's Sporting Goods and Gander Mountain. In addition to his retail responsibilities, he managed television advertising sales for the top-rated productions, Realtree Outdoors and Driven to Hunt on ESPN, and Realtree Road Trips and Monster Bucks on The Outdoor Channel, attracting non-endemic companies such as Chevrolet, AFLAC and CAT to the hunting industry.

His third area of responsibility for the world's largest branded camouflage company was NASCAR promotions, working in conjunction with Richard Childress Racing and leveraging Realtree's sponsorship of the #29 car driven by Kevin Harvick. Skrabo developed a close personal relationship with Realtree founder and owner, Bill Jordan. "I leave behind many close friends who treated me like family, particularly Bill Jordan," Skrabo said. "While I am leaving the company, I look forward to continuing to work with Realtree, not only as a licensee, but as a television sponsor on behalf of Bad Boy Buggies."

Skrabo has a 25-year history in the hunting and sporting goods industry. A 1983 graduate of University of Oregon, and three-year football player for the Ducks, he has edited numerous magazines including Petersen's Bowhunting, Fishing & Hunting News and California Angler. He founded Adventure 2, an advertising agency in Northern California, where he was president for six years, before accepting a position at Realtree in 1999 as a licensing manager.
