william-went out staurday caught about 6 crappie in 20feet of water all males, have a friend pitchin h&h spinner baits around willow's catch em pretty good.

Paul, thanks for the info. I've talked to several fishermen and it looks like the crappie are starting to move into shallow water at the lake, hope they are right. I am lookin forward to a large mess of fried crappie and fried biscuits.

Had a great time at the lake even with the wind. Cats were off a little and the crappie moved in and out with the cool weather. However a few days before we had to leave the weather went our way. The girls had a great time with the crappie. I had to return to town on business and stayed overnight. When I got back, my wife had 27 crappie she had caught ( over 2#) for me to clean. By the time I got them cleaned and on ice, she had 9 more. Turned out to be a good trip.
