BIRDS

I recently got into duck hunting with a couple buddies from West Texas and we are now living in the Dallas area and hate it because all of our hunting spots are a days drive away.  We are also getting very sick of going to Lavon and Lewisville every week and seeing nothing but everyone elses deeks.  Are there any good spots that we can hunt and actually see waterfowl?

look into lake tawakoni it's type two the hunting pressure is not so high

Man you're lucky. There are a ton of good spots around you. I know public land has a couple spots as well as a couple lakes that are open for hunting. If you just talk to the right people and look in the right places you should be highly successful. I personally don't live or hunt there but I've heard from many people that the duck/goose hunting up there is phenominal.

I hunt north Toledo Bend. Lots of woodies, some teal and widgeons. First freeze and the greenies and gadwalls will show.
