  The link button is kind of weird.  You have to select some text in the box that you want to make into a link, and then it becomes enabled.  Can you try that and let me know if you're still having trouble?  Type (or paste) the URL, like http://www.texashuntfish.com, and then select that text with your cursor, and the link button should be available.
