Usually any I find are while I'm out rabbit/squirrel hunting.

It's actually a little early here.  The majority of the bucks probably won't be dropping them until later this month or early next month. But there are always a few that drop earlier.

WHY NOT MAKE YOUR OWN ANTLER SHED TRAP? INSTEAD OF LOOKING AROUND ALL OVER THE PLACE YOU'LL HAVE ONE PLACE TO GO.

I don't care for antler traps, I've seen them result in the death of two pretty good bucks that got entangled in them when they panicked. I don't really care if I get any sheds. Its just fun to find one every now and again. I don't go out looking for them specifically.

around the end of february up here in the panhandle is when you'll start seeing them. is it true that when one falls off, they will usually try to get the other one immediately because it is causing an unbalance on their head?

A couple more pics I just pulled off the camera today.  I'm not sure why but my pics, when posted in here have lines all through them that are not there when viewed on my comp. Both of these bucks have shed.  The four point in the first pics I posted on this thread still has one side.

Interesting that our neighbor who doesn't feed like we do has found sheds everywhere and we still haven't found any.

Sat out yesterday in a photo blind and saw 14 bucks...all with their antlers.

Finally, the first shed.

Rode around this afternoon and saw 8 bucks of which only one had lost his antlers.

Recognized him from a cuddeback no-flash photo from pre-season.  He was much larger (massive) than the no-flash made him appear.

Amazing what just a couple hundred miles of seperation can do isn't it.  Every buck around my place finished shedding by at least two weeks ago and y'alls are just starting to drop.
