ANTLERS The warmer months are usually better and always at night. During deer season I can catch them early in the morning.

well towards the end of this month going into february is the mating period for the coyotes. i've killed alot around this month and the month coming up. your more likely to catch them out during the day because theyre out looking around. i've also been hearing alot of howling and it seems to work well around this time. given the summer months are good to hunt as well because they become less wary of predators. i do most of my calling at night but when they become educated and harder to kill i go for day calls. for some reason i see more coyotes during the day than i do at night.

Howling works any time any place.  The key is to know what language to speak.  Now is a good time to sound like a young male due to the fact that is mating season.  The alpha male will think another male is invading his territory looking for his female.  So I would experiment will all types of howls and whimpers.  Both coyotes and bobcats frequent deer feeders looking for mice and birds feeding on corn.  I have killed dozens of coyotes and 4 bob cats while deer hunting coming to check out the feeder.

We need to thin out those cats.
