October 19th- Bass fishing the Oxy fishing tourney at Amistad with Festus. Today was friday pre fishing, caught 7, 5 on a topwater early this morning for about 15 pounds.  2 on a tx rig 11 inch watermelon red power worm.  Nothing much else to speak of when the sun got up high.

 

October 20th- 1st tourney day, wind blew 40, 4 foot seas in main lake.  tried everything, lost one 4 pounder by the train bridge on a 7 inch yum dinger tx rigged, came unbottoned at the boat.  not a single other bite all day, quit fishing at 3pm.

October 21st-last day of tourney.  went to river, launched down 9 miles of caliche road, hard on the boat!  caught about 30 fish on a weighless fluke, bass assasin albino shad with a 5/0 Gammy hook on 12 pound cx premium.  Partner caught 7 as well.  Lots of 2 pounders, I caught one that went 4.48, had a 12.98 pound sack for the day.  Dont think the scales did my sack justince!

December 6th, 2007

Lea County NM, Quail hunting with Kevin on Marathon road while scouting for drilling rigs.  Killed a few, nothing to write home about!
