Lake Buchanan Water: clear; 70 degrees; 1017.98' Largemouth are good at daylight schooling in 8'-15' 1/4 oz. Bleeding Shad Rat-L-Traps, Skip-N-Pop topwaters, Texas rigged weightless silver flake Whacky Sticks. Stripers are fair at daylight schooling along the river channel over 25' to 40' in the lower end close to the dam casting and jigging Spoiler Shads (plastic swim baits), Rat-L-Traps and drifting or free-lining live bait in 30'-40'. White Bass are fair but small along the river channel or in deep creeks on Tiny Traps and 2" plastic swim baits. Crappie fair in clear water using pink/white or chart. Curb's crappie jigs and live minnows.

Lake LBJ Water Stained, 70 degrees, 824.96' Largemouth are good to 5 lbs. early and late and all day under cloud cover in 4'-6' along laydowns and stumps using 1/8th oz. Curb's buzzbaits, watermelon JDC Skip N Pops and wacky rigged green pumpkin Whacky Sticks. Stripers are slow to fair along the river channel close to the dam trolling Gizz 4 crankbaits on downriggers and drifting live shad. White Bass fair vertically jigging Pirk Minnows under birds. Crappie are good with limits of fish to 16 inches from brush piles in 12-15 feet on Curb's crappie jigs and live minnows.

Canyon Lake Water: clear; 71 degrees; 909.07': Largemouth are good from 2 to 4 lbs. schooling along creeks and ditches in bays over 2-12 feet on Rat-L-Traps, white spinner- baits, Skip-N-Pop topwaters. Also, along inside bluffs on watermelon-red Whacky Sticks on jigheads or Texas rigged grape Scoundrel worms on shaky head jigs. Smallmouth are good under cloud cover early along ledges and over rockpiles in 10- 20 feet using Smokin' Green" Devil's Tongues on drop shots, smoke JDC curl tail grubs on jigheads, and 3/16 oz. pumpkin Curb's jigs with matching drop shot worms. Stripers are small but fair at first light schooling in the lower end jigging blade baits and trolling Gizz4 or deep running Shad Raps crankbaits over and around humps. White Bass are slow and small on mainlake points at day- light. Crappie are fair up river on minnows and crappie jigs.
