In preliminary work, both the Wetlands Reserve Program (WRP) and the North American Wetlands Conservation Act (NAWCA) have been recommended for cuts at a time when waterfowl needs an increase.

The U.S. Senate will act soon to decide on their funding recommendations.  The Senate is our best hope to recover from recommended cuts this year.   We must convince the Senate to suggest a better funding level for WRP and NAWCA.

The voters are the best voices to convince elected officials of what’s important and what deserves support.  We must let DU’s voice be heard on behalf of these two programs.  It’s easy to do that.  You will find pre-drafted messages by clicking here.  It only takes 2 minutes to make a difference.
