My buds dad has a BFR .45/70 Gov't Revolver.  I had the chance to shoot it and I liked it very much.  It's not a plinking pistol, after three round of 300 gr's my palm was stinging.  I was shooting across a river at a weed on the opposite bank, it took 3 shoots to uproot the plant.

I think that and a lever action in the same would be a nice combo.

I don't have the BFR but I have a 45-70 14" Contender barrel.Its a blast to shoot and pretty accurate .
