Overview:

The Briscoe and Gates Catarina ranches offer 20,000 contiguous acres of low fenced fair chase whitetail deer hunting in the heart of the South Texas "Golden Triangle." Deer hunters will experience an authentic brush country trophy deer hunt.  We specialize in fully guided trophy deer hunts for small groups and corporate clients. 

Hunting at the ranch is done from South Texas style, top-driven, "high rack" trucks.  A typical day of hunting may also involve hunting in elevated blinds near feeders, rattling in bucks during the rut, spot and stalk, as well as occasionally hunting from ground blinds or brush blind set-ups. 

The style of hunting can be directed by the hunter in consultation with the guide.  All of our guides are experienced brush country deer hunters.  Our experience and knowledge of the area we hunt in allow us to continue building on a near 100% shot opportunity success rate.  Morning and afternoon hunts are the norm.  Hunters will ride with their guide on one of our high rack trucks to a hunting area, typically situated on one of the many senderos (long ranch roads).  Our guides are passionate about deer hunting, and will have already spent time tracking the movement of mature trophy deer in several parts of the ranch before your arrival. 

All of our hunting is low fenced and fair chase, so we do not guarantee a Boone & Crockett score for the deer you will harvest.  But our experienced guides are sure to put you on an impressive, mature South Texas buck.
