Additional InformationOverview: Located in Brackettville and Marfa, Texas, our ranches offer outstanding hunts for domestic big game and small game. The main Ranch consists of 10,000 acres and the other ranch which is only about 10 miles northwest consists of 8,400. There are five separate guest houses on the ranch that have accommodations in total for up to approximately 35 guests. There are eight tanks on the property that hold permanent rain water runoff and are supplemented by water well pumpage. There are also numerous live oak draws throughout the property which are used as roosting areas by resident turkeys. Several irrigated center pivot systems provide additional water which generates forbs, seeds and insects for turkeys and large quantities of deer. There are approximately 70 comfortable (two-man) deer blinds about 12-15 feet tall on the property. There are about 100 deer feeders that feed corn year round to attract wildlife. Wide open cleared areas through the brush, "senderos", allow our hunters to see plenty of game. The ranch is a genuine working Texas cattle ranch so bring your camera as you may see our cowboys at work with the cattle. The ranch is about 20 miles northwest of Brackettville and is fairly remote. It contains a very thick creek bottom with some open rolling hills. It also has several oat fields throughout the ranch. There will be 28 hunts sold in 2008 for $3,495 per hunt. The hunts will include one trophy buck (eight points or better), two hogs and a turkey. Sorry, not doe shooting in 2008 on this ranch. Does will be available at our main ranch one mile north of Bracketville and can be substituted for the two hogs in this package. This was the most disorganized place I have ever seen. The stepson led the hunt-no transportation, no knowledge of guiding. WHAT A RIP-OFF!
Hot dog,
what happened on this hunt?....did you get your animal?, please tell me about the whole hunt.
I hunted with them last year in Marfa. GREAT hunt. I killed a 14" Antelope and a 29.5 " Aoudad, he made the SCI book. I had no idea of what to expect, however the staff wanted the hunt to go well.
Also had a terrible experience there! This Boerschig guy is a crook.
