We may be arguing semantics here, but to me this is not a "fair chase" hunt. These animals have been protected from predation via high fence and therefore have not developed the same level of cautiousness that a free ranging animal would. Now I realize that all animals can not be like a whitetail, and that's not what I'm saying. But, what I am saying is that it was obvious that this ran didn't have a clue he was in danger, and neither did any of his compadres. You could have about wiped the entire lot out. To me, that's not fair chase hunting.
And throwing out the 'coward' label because someone disagrees with you has no merit.
How gay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As much as I disagree with this type of 'hunting', and as much we might think that this type of behavior actually hurts hunting, and while I'd hope that he would think a little more about what he posted, he does have the right to post here. Let's not act like our 'friends' in Washington.
instead of removing peoples posts regarding this video maybe the video should be removed!
Apparently, we have a bug in our system after a recent upgrade that allows the poster of a video to "edit" the text of people's comments.
The bug did not give the poster of the original video the power to delete, which is why the empty posts are still showing.
I am frustrated, but understand human nature that motivated the owner of www.TexasHuntingLodge.com to remove any critical comments of his business. I am more frustrated at myself for not catching this bug sooner.
I am not sure removing the video is the right idea. I don't consider this hunting. But we also don't know anything else about the situation. Is there an over-abundance of animals and he is going to butcher them anyway and someone offered to pay money? I once had a rancher tell me a story about a foreigner offering to pay the trophy whitetail fee on a South Texas Ranch if they would allow him to "harvest" one of the longhorn bulls he saw driving back to the ranch house. What would you say?
The situation was he claimed these were "fair chase" hunts and then threw personal insults at the people who commented on these ridiculous hunts. Of course he deleted his own comments along with many other peoples.. Just signed up to your website after following it for a while because I've never had the need to comment. Just wanna let ya'll know its a great website with alot great and helpfull members but these videos struck a nerve with me. Hope you read this before it gets erased.
I agree the Video should stay. Like others here I dont agree with him and feel everyone thinking of going there will at least know what they are paying for. I just hope I didnt cross the line in my comments.
sourdon
WOW, they actually call this hunting !!!!!! That would be like calling a man walking into a bank with a gun only making a withdrawl. This type of CRAP should be illeagal and makes us real hunters sick!!!!!!
THis is not hunting...... The other animals just sit there. It just getting a ram burger not a hunt.....
just go up to it and hit it with a rock ....................that not right take this video out
