Well, everyone knows that dove hunting season is just about here but who's ready for Alligator Season in Texas?  Sept. 10 - 30th.  You feel free to jump on in and wrangle that gator home. lol

I've caught two small gators at Hall's Bayou in Galveston County on a buzz bait. Both times I was casting at some grass beds that showed a slight hump. When the buzzer went by them, they exploded. At first I thought they were some big reds, which was what I was after. After a few minutes of cranking, gaining and then losing line, the first gator surfaced. Scared the be-Jesus out of me, wasn't expecting that. Needless to say, got him to the boat, but let him have the bait, wasn't about to put my hands in there for a $1.00 buzz bait. Second time I knew what to expect, but still a lot of fun to do. Wished I had a camera with me then.
